INSTRUCTIONS
For "real" sample questions see
Multiple-Choice Sample Questions for Anth
1602
or Multiple-Choice Sample Questions for
Anth 1604
IN ANSWERING MULTIPLE-CHOICE QUESTIONS:
- CIRCLE THE "*" IMMEDIATELY PRECEEDING ANY CORRECT
ANSWER.
- A QUESTION MAY HAVE MORE THAN ONE CORRECT ANSWER. IF SO,
CIRCLE THE "*"s PRECEEDING ALL OF THEM.
- DO NOT CIRCLE THE WHOLE ANSWER.
- DO NOT CROSS OUT THE WRONG ANSWERS.
- IF YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES TO YOUR ANSWER MAKE SURE YOUR
FINAL CHOICES ARE CLEAR.
- IF YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PICK SEVERAL QUESTIONS NOT TO ANSWER,
CLEARLY CROSS OUT THE QUESTIONS YOU CHOOSE NOT TO ANSWER. IF
YOU HAVE ANSWERED TOO MANY QUESTIONS YOU WILL LOSE ANY BONUS
POINTS FOR DOING THE TEST CORRECTLY, AND THOSE QUESTIONS AT THE
END OF THE TEST WHICH MAKE FOR TOO MANY WILL NOT BE GRADED.
- YOU MAY WRITE IN COMMENTS ON THE RIGHT AND BOTTOM MARGINS
OF THE PAGE AND BELOW THE QUESTIONS BUT DO NOT
WRITE OR MAKE ANY MARKS IN THE TOP OR LEFT MARGINS OF THE TEST
PAGES.
PARTIAL CREDIT IS GIVEN WHEN NOT ALL THE CORRECT
ANSWERS HAVE BEEN SELECTED AND/OR ONE OR MORE INCORRECT ANSWERS
HAVE BEEN SELECTED (SEE TABLE BELOW).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Points are given only for correct
answers chosen. No points are
given for incorrect answers not
chosen.
Thus if you choose all the correct
answers and do not choose any in-
correct answers you get 10 points.
If you do not choose any correct
answers you do not get any points.
Also: always at least make a guess
on any question you have not
crossed out (you can't get less
than zero on incorrectly answered
questions).
